Jan 27, 2009 Venus Joy

It's the new year and you and your friends just vowed to lose weight together. Make working out fun by turning it into a party!

Know that cute trainer at your gym? Here's your chance to meet him. Invite him over to host a fitness party with you and your friends!

A fitness party is where you invite your friends over and have a certified fitness instructor come to your house and lead a total body workout. These parties can be used to celebrate a number of occasions. For example, a yoga party for a pre-wedding shower. Clear out all bulky furniture the night before, or for yoga, place your mats out in your backyard. Choose a spacious room, preferably with mirrors, so you and your friends will feel like you're in a real exercise studio.

Afterward you can have a dessert buffet that complements your new lifestyle. Having delicious treats on hand that are good for you, help you and your friends to reap the benefits of your workouts. Here are a few suggestions of what you could serve. Be sure to have plenty of bottled water on hand.
